Paris - while Parisians are on holidays. Feb 28

While the Parisians are in vacation, the merchants raise prices by a few cent.  But the Americans are the only ones complaining about prices.  The French are also feeling the touch of economical crisis.
However, walking the streets of Paris you can see other changes, and some are certainly for the better.  There’s a lot of constructions, that are undergoing renovation or have lost their leases, but new ones move in and modernize the space.

That is why there are some new just opened places, that have yet to make a splash. One of this place is Baboto, a new restaurant.
Montpellier native Daniel Alauze has spent two years gutting the interior of this building that’s classified as a historical monument.  Now it’s anything but traditional and serves superb food from 11 am to 2 am every day except Sunday.
You can eat standing up at the bar or sitting at one of the tables and, during sunny weather, on the terrace. Also restaurant have free WiFi access point.
At night the restaurant transforms. The bartender shakes up some drinks made of false absinthe, as the real absinthe was prohibited for being highly addictive. For non-drinkers, there is an menu with a wide choice of non-alcoholic cocktails.
On Friday and Saturday nights there is a DJ between 8 pm and 2 in the morning. If you go at night, opt for some sexy wear.
The summer is the right time of year when people are the most receptive. After a renovation, Raimo Glacier opened its salon in a very fascinating boutique. Founded in 1947, Raimo is doubtless the oldest ice-cream maker in Paris. Now his son continues affair.  Raimo Glacier makes more than 35 classic and original kinds of ice-cream. Some people consider Raimo’s ice cream much better than Bertillon’s, founded in 1954. Therewith Raimo is open in August, and Berthillon is closed.
Another newcomer is Pierre Herme, maker of exceptional macaroons – you can gain few pounds just walking in the store, and even more if actually eat a couple in his new boutique. The store is so new that it’s not have been listed on the web site directory.  So, if you happen to be shopping near his store, don’t hesitate to enter and taste the best macaroons in Paris.
So, despite difficulties, in this city of love always there are changes to the best. Whatever happens is for the best!
